These terms of use (together with the documents referred to in them) tell you the terms on which you may make use of our websites at LegalBeagles, JustBeagle and GoBeagle (or any of our other LegalBeagles domains) (our “sites”, our “websites”, “us” or “we”). Please read these terms of use carefully before you start, as they will apply to your use of our sites. We recommend that you print a copy for future reference. By using our sites, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using our sites.

- Our Privacy Policy, which sets out the terms on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using our sites, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
- Our Acceptable Use Policy, for LegalBeagles, JustBeagle and GoBeagle are located on each site and set out the permitted uses and prohibited uses of those sites. When using our sites, you must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the cookies on our site.
Access to our sites is not intended for those under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, please do not use, register with or provide any personal information to our site.
Access to our sites is permitted on a temporary basis.
We do not guarantee that our sites, or any content on them, will always be available or be uninterrupted and we reserve the right to suspend, discontinue, withdraw or amend the service we provide on our sites without notice.
From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our sites, or an entire site, to all users and if the need arises, we may close any site indefinitely. We will not be liable to you if for any reason a site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to our sites. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our sites through your internet connection are aware of these terms, and that they comply with them.
If you wish to submit content to our sites you must in addition register with the site (see paragraph 4 below) and comply with the content standards set out in each site’s Acceptable Use Policy.
Our sites are provided for private and non-commercial use only. You agree not to use our sites for any public, business or commercial purposes.
a) “PM” means a private message sent directly from one registered user to another;
b) “Post” means any textual message or comment (which shall include any signature contained therein) which you and other users of our sites submit for publication on our sites; and
c) “User Content” means Posts, PMs, avatars, profile pictures, images and any other form of user-generated content which is submitted to and appears on our sites.
If you wish to submit User Content to our sites, you will first need to register by visiting the registration page on the relevant site.
When you register with our sites, you confirm that you accept and agree to these terms of use, our Privacy and Acceptable Use Policies and our Cookie Policy.
When you register with our sites, you will be given the opportunity to choose a user name and password as part of our security procedures. You must treat such information as confidential and must not disclose it to any third party. If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user name or password, you must promptly notify us at [email protected]
You must not choose a user name, profile picture or avatar which is inappropriate, offensive or otherwise in breach of the content standards set out in the relevant site’s Acceptable Use Policy.
We have the right to disable any user name or password (whether chosen by you or allocated by us) at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of our Terms of Use or our Acceptable Use Policy. We also reserve the right to change any user name which in our sole opinion is so similar to an existing user’s user name that it is likely to cause confusion.
We have the right to remove any username, avatar or profile picture which in our sole opinion does not comply with such content standards.
In the event that there is a dispute concerning the use of the same custom avatar by two or more users the user who first adopted the custom avatar shall retain the custom avatar provided it complies with our content standards and the subsequent user(s) shall be required to choose a different avatar.
All User Content must be your own original work.
By submitting User Content for publication on our websites you:
- confirm that you accept these terms of use and agree to our Privacy Policy;
- warrant that any User Content submitted by you on any of our sites complies with the content standards set out in that site’s Acceptable Use Policy; and
- agree that you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of the warranty in bulletpoint above, in accordance with the relevant Acceptable Use Policy. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.
You may edit your own Posts on forum sections of our sites, at any time within three days of its publication on the site, following which time you must contact a moderator or site administrator to edit a Post. Please be aware that your Posts may be quoted in whole or in part in other users Posts on our sites before you have edited your Post. If you edit a Post which has already been quoted in the Post of another user, the content of your Post appearing in the quote will not be updated to reflect the changes you have made to the original Post.
All User Content submitted to our sites will be considered non-confidential except PMs which will be treated as confidential between the sender and recipient, unless a PM is the subject of a report and investigation by the site administrators under paragraph 6 . For the avoidance of doubt, a PM shall never appear publicly on our site and shall only be disclosed to a third party by the site administrators where, in the reasonable opinion of a site administrator, such disclosure is required by law or otherwise permitted under the relevant Privacy Policy.
We have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to any of our sites constitutes an infringement of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
The views expressed by users of our sites do not represent our views or values or the views or values of the developers of vBulletin (the software used on the LegalBeagles, GoBeagle and LegalBeagles Group sites). We have the right to promptly remove, or disable access to, or refuse to upload, any User Content (or other content) which we deem to be, or which is notified to us as being, potentially defamatory of any person, unlawful, in violation of any third party rights or in contravention of our terms of use and/or the relevant Acceptable Use Policy.
We have the right to move, edit, close or delete any thread for any reason, including but not limited to the more efficient administration or organisation of our sites.
In the event you no longer wish to be a registered member on a particular site, we will delete your user details on request. However, any previously posted user content will remain on the relevant site with your username removed and ‘Guest’ inserted.

By submitting User Content to our websites, you agree to grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that User Content, except where such User Content consists of a PM. Although you will still own the copyright in your User Content, we will have the right to freely use, edit, alter, reproduce, publish and/or distribute the material contained in your User Content (excluding PMs) on our websites. This licence will be free of charge, perpetual and capable of sub-licence. We may exercise all copyright and publicity rights in the material contained in your User Content (excluding PMs) in all jurisdictions, to their full extent and for the full period for which any such rights exist in that material.
Please also note that, in accordance with the content standards set out in the relevant Acceptable Use Policy, you must ensure that your User Content does not infringe any copyright, database right, trade mark or Intellectual Property of any other person. By submitting your User Content to our sites, you are warranting that you have the right to grant us the non-exclusive copyright licence described above. If you are not in a position to grant such a licence to us, please do not submit the User Content to our sites.
In this paragraph, “Intellectual Property” means all patents, rights to inventions, utility models, copyright and related rights, trade marks, service marks, trade, business and domain names, rights in trade dress or get-up, rights in goodwill or to sue for passing off, unfair competition rights, rights in designs, rights in computer software, database right, topography rights, moral rights, rights in confidential information (including know-how and trade secrets) and any other intellectual property rights, in each case whether registered or unregistered and including all applications for and renewals or extensions of such rights, and all similar or equivalent rights or forms of protection in any part of the world.
We are the owner or the licensee of all rights in and to the Intellectual Property in our sites. The sites and all content displayed on them is protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our sites for your personal reference.
You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately, from any accompanying text.

All content on our sites (including but not limited to User Content) is provided for general information only without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. It is not intended to amount to advice (of any nature) upon which you should rely. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources, and we expressly exclude liability for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. You use any third-party sites and resources at your own risk and you are responsible for assessing the suitability of any goods or services advertised by such third parties before signing up or placing an order for such goods or services.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our sites or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.
We process information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our sites, you consent to such processing and you agree to ensure that any data you provide to us (such as the contact details you provide on registration) is true and accurate.
We respect your privacy.
We do not guarantee that our sites will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our sites. You should use your own virus protection software.
You must not misuse our sites by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our sites, the server on which our sites are stored or any server, computer or database connected to our sites. You must not attack our sites via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our sites will cease immediately.
You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
Our sites must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of our sites other than the home page. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. The website from which you are linking must comply in all respects with the content standards set out in the relevant Acceptable Use Policy for the site.

The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to, a visit to our sites although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
These terms of use and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
